2023 Design Trends

Before we dive into 2023’s “trends”, first and foremost I want to share my design philosophy. My goal is always working with the architecture and style of the home. My design choices will focus on classic and timeless materials that won’t date, but used in a creative and interesting way. I believe in quality over quantity and that there really is nothing more classic and timeless than craftsmanship.

Everyone loves to jump on a trend but no one wants to renovate in 5 years because that trend has come and gone. In my mind, timeless design is always on trend. Here are some “trends” that we are excited to see more of this year. And I’m breaking down a few of my favorites below

Warm Neutrals and Dark Hues

I’m loving warm neutrals and deep moody hues, like deep browns, warm rusts, organic greens and saffron yellow. There has been a marked shift from all light and bright everywhere you look and I’m here for it.

Organic Flow

Furnishings with rounded edges are adding a fun yet sophisticated look and touches of white oak and caning are still beautiful additions!

Textural Materials

Spaces grounded by darker warm wood tones and natural materials enhanced with bold veining in stone. Textiles are carrying a more organic touch and look - like, velvet, mohair, warm leather and boucle.

Reeded Details

Reeded cabinetry is still going strong, but I look forward to using it in deeper richer walnut.

Coming Soon! Reeded walnut paired with dark cabinetry in this upcoming project coming late 2023
