Our full-service design will take your home project, renovation, or new build from initial concept through to completion, with attention to every detail. From initial expiration to final completion, your input and influence are central to our collective inspiration and creative output. We take care of all the major, and not-so-major, design details to bring your unique dream home to life.
Design and furnishing projects can take 4-9 months from start to completion with larger renovations taking up to 9 -15 months
All projects start with a consultation, where we will meet at your home for a 2-hour working meeting where we will tour the home, look at the spaces to be designed, review design needs and style. You will be provided with real-time design ideas, and we will discuss the project deadlines and budget. We will provide a written project proposal within 3-5 days of our consultation with all aspects of the projects we discussed, including a detailed scope of work, cost estimates, general timeline, and next steps.
At this point, you will be assigned homework to find inspiration. We will schedule additional pre-design meetings to learn more about your lifestyle, functionality needs, and we will discuss the inspiration for the project in detail. We will review architectural plans to ensure space planning aligns with your goals and optimize flow and function. This is a pivotal time to zero in on your tastes, the vision for your space, which all helps to inform our design direction. Meetings with all trades involved will be scheduled and measurements will be taken.
We have a network of trusted tradespeople vendors and Architects that we can reccomend for your project or we can work with the contractor of your choosing.
We will create your design plan based on what we have learned from you, as well as our own creative ideas. This typically takes 6-12 weeks from project kickoff, although it may take longer depending on the size of the project. During this phase, you may not hear a lot from us, but know we are busy behind the scenes creating your custom design. We will specify all materials, fixtures, finishes and furnishings, obtain quotes from vendors and trades then present a functional beautiful design plan to all decision-makers.
Once you’ve approved the final design and proposal, our team will begin product procurement including ordering all materials and furnishings, tracking, warehousing, and delivery. We will communicate with vendors and trades, conduct site visits to ensure the design is implemented to our specification, asist in any design challenges that may arise, oversee quality control, and coordinate delivery. You will be provided with detailed project plans and timelines and we will coordinate installation and finish work. From now until the construction is complete and/or the furnishings are delivered, we will be there every step of the way.
Once construction is complete and all items are in and have been fully inspected, we will schedule white glove delivery of all furniture, artwork, rugs, as well as professional window treatment installation. Your space will be styled with accessories and will be professionally cleaned. When you arrive back at your home it will be completely finished!
We offer interior design and renovation services outside of the Philadelphia area. Our process is the same for local or distance work. For Distance Design we will travel to you for initial meetings and consultation, and do the design work at our studio. We will then travel to you for the final instal. For out of state clients, we can build in additional site visits and tailor the experience based on how hands-on you would like us to be.
